The San Francisco Bangalore Sister City Initiative is a volunteer-driven, not for profit organization (501(c)(3) designated) with the intent to engage individuals and institutions in Bangalore and San Francisco in creating sustainable 21st century cities through an exchange of environmental, economic, technological, cultural, research, ideas, expertise and resources.

"Friends" of the San Francisco Bangalore Initiative enjoy privileged relationships with the committee and influential people, including visiting delegations, and will have the opportunity to give back to the community by initiating, adopting and proactively driving specific projects of interest.
